Network Security Engineer
Responsible for designing, implementing, and securing network infrastructure that connects offshore wind farms, control centers, and remote monitoring systems. They ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical communications by configuring firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. This role involves monitoring and mitigating cyber threats, securing industrial control networks (e.g., SCADA, OT systems), and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations. Their expertise is crucial in protecting offshore wind assets from cyber risks while maintaining reliable data flow and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience with network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
• Proficiency in configuring network devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet) and securing industrial communication protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3).
Additional Requirements:
• Experience in securing Operational Technology (OT) environments, SCADA networks, and remote monitoring systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, IEC 62443, and ISO 27001.
• Offshore safety certifications (e.g., GWO Basic Safety Training) may be required for on-site work.
• Ability to work collaboratively with IT, engineering, and operational teams to implement robust network security measures.
