Heavy Lift Engineer

Responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the lifting and installation of large components such as wind turbine towers, blades, and nacelles. They ensure that all heavy lifting operations are conducted safely and efficiently, considering factors like load distribution, crane capacity, and environmental conditions. This role involves working with specialized lifting equipment, structural analysis, and risk assessments to prevent operational hazards. Their expertise is essential in ensuring the smooth and secure execution of offshore wind farm construction and maintenance projects.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience in structural analysis, crane operations, and heavy lifting methodologies.

• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or finite element analysis (FEA) tools.

 

Additional Requirements:

• Offshore safety certifications (e.g., GWO Basic Safety Training, LOLER qualifications).

• Strong knowledge of lifting regulations and industry standards (e.g., LOLER, DNV-ST-N001).

• Ability to work in offshore environments and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
