IT / Network Engineer
Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure and network systems that support turbine operations and communication. They ensure secure and reliable connectivity between offshore wind turbines, substations, onshore control centers, and external systems. This role involves configuring network equipment, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and implementing cybersecurity measures to protect critical infrastructure. IT/Network Engineers are essential for ensuring seamless communication and data flow in offshore wind farm operations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Network Engineering.
• Proficiency in networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN), network configuration, and IT systems management.
• Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless communication systems.
Additional Requirements:
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and standards, especially for industrial and operational environments.
• Familiarity with offshore environments or renewable energy systems is an advantage.
• Offshore certification (e.g., GWO Basic Safety Training) may be required, along with the ability to work in dynamic and remote conditions.
