Software / Cloud Engineer

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and software applications that support wind farm operations. They design scalable cloud architectures, implement data processing pipelines, and integrate IoT devices for real-time monitoring of turbines and offshore assets. This role involves working with big data, machine learning models, and secure cloud environments to improve operational efficiency and predictive maintenance. Their expertise ensures reliable data storage, processing, and cybersecurity for offshore wind farms.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related field.

• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++, and experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

 

Additional Requirements:

• Experience with IoT integration, edge computing, and data streaming technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, MQTT).

• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and industry standards for critical infrastructure.

• Offshore safety certifications (e.g., GWO Basic Safety Training) may be required for on-site deployments.

• Ability to collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and operational teams to enhance digital solutions for wind farm management.
